We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate will oversee all engineering activities at our Greensboro, NC facility. The Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers and technicians in developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation, improving production efficiency, and ensuring product quality.

Responsibilities:

Leadership:

Provide strong leadership and guidance to the engineering team.

Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Process Development:

Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes.

Focus on efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

New Product Introduction (NPI):

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new products.

Ensure alignment with customer requirements and company goals.

Equipment Maintenance and Upkeep:

Oversee maintenance programs for production equipment.

Ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Quality Assurance:

Develop and implement robust quality control measures.

Ensure products meet or exceed industry standards.

Cost Optimization:

Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs.

Implement process improvements and waste reduction initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Team Development:

Mentor and develop engineering team members.

Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.

Continuous Improvement:

Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Utilize lean principles and other methodologies to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.

5 plus years experience in engineering management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong technical expertise in manufacturing processes, including plastics molding, thermoforming, or similar technologies.

Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen is a plus.

Work Environment:

The role will be on-site at our manufacturing plant in Greensboro, NC. Hours will be Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm ET with some work required outside of typical hours on an as-needed basis as our plants run 24/7.
