Survey Crew Party Chief

A local California civil engineering firm is hiring a Survey Technician Party Chief in Irvine or West Los Angeles.

The Survey Technician Party Chief will

Lead, direct, and perform the work of field survey crew chief for boundary, topographic, and construction surveying.

Performs related research, plan reviews, and calculations to determine grades and locations of improvements on construction plans.

Mentors and trains less experienced Survey Technicians.

Proficient in the operation and maintenance of robotic and GPS survey equipment.

Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional and courteous manner with teammates and clients.

Successful Candidates will have

5+years general field surveying experience that includes serving as survey party chief OR 3-years experience with a two-year formal education in the surveying or engineering field

Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

Familiarity with geometric and trigonometry principles.

Strong working knowledge and experience setting up, operating, and maintaining robotic total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.

PLS/LSIT not required but desired

Predicted Salary Range:

$80,000 - $135,000
