Our client, a leading global commodities merchant, is seeking a strong Desktop Support Engineer to join their team in their brand new Midtown NYC office. In this role, you would be responsible for PC desktop, mobile device, and application support in a trading floor environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform Level 1 and 2 support and handle incoming help requests from end users
Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications
Build rapport and elicit problem details from customers
Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization
Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future computer hardware needs
Ideal Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of technical experience on a trading floor performing PC support, including troubleshooting PC and operating system problems, and repairing hardware
Experience with office administration and data feed services (such as ICE, Reuters or Bloomberg)
Familiarity with Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft Office 365
Experience with Linux, ServiceNow, SCCM/Intune and Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop
Bachelor's Degree preferred
