Geotechnical Engineer

Client in Atlanta immediately hiring for a Staff Engineer. This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday-Friday from 8-5, some weekends as needed to complete projects. The worksite will be within an hour of Metro Atlanta.

Engineer will be working on 1-3 projects at a time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operating and maintaining geotechnical testing equipment.

Classifying soil and rock samples obtained from drilling operations.

Assist in developing the scope and budget of work for routine projects.

Analyze data, perform engineering calculations and analysis, and reporting for PE review.

Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or similar field

E.I.T. preferred

1-3 years of experience, soils mechanics knowledge

Knowledge of relevant remediation, permitting, improvement, and construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements
