Commercial Litigation Attorney for Nationally Recognized Law Firm

Nationally recognized law firm located downtown Chicago seeks a commercial litigation attorney with 1-3 years’ experience to join their litigation group. The litigation practice handles some of the nation's most important cases representing litigants in state and federal courts around the country including cases in the US Supreme Court. The firm has an outstanding reputation for providing superior service to their clients and strive to cultivate a diverse environment of respect, teamwork, and dedication.

The litigation attorney will manage all aspects of commercial litigation matters from inception to closure, including handling trials, depositions, mediations, and pleadings. They will represent clients in court and argue motions and appeals.

Additional Responsibilities include:

Manage all phases of commercial litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal.

Analyze complex legal and factual issues, conduct extensive and well-reasoned legal research.

Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents.

Requirements

Excellent academic credentials

1-3 years of experience in commercial litigation

Licensed in IL
