Position Summary

Our client, who is in the government space, is seeking a Jira Product Owner to champion best practices, bridge communication caps, and drive continuous improvement within their Jira ecosystem. This person will bring their expertise to the team to gain buy-in, lead in best practices, and use data to drive informed decisions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of agile methodologies, strong communication skills, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement in their Jira ecosystem.

ResponsibilitiesMaster the Jira ecosystem: Utilize Jira features to manage the product backlog effectively, monitor progress, and track key metrics. Foster a culture of transparency and data-driven decision-making within the team.

Managing the product backlog: Own the Jira backlog, ensuring it's clear, prioritized, and reflects the most valuable features and improvements.

Collaborating with stakeholders: Work closely with users to gather feedback, refine requirements, and champion user needs throughout the development process.

Embrace Agile methodologies and foster collaboration: Champion Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, facilitating ceremonies, maintaining a healthy backlog, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Champion product analytics: Analyze usage data, identify trends, and leverage insights to inform product roadmap decisions and optimize features for user engagement.

Stay up-to-date with Jira trends and best practices: You'll be a continuous learner, actively seeking out new ways to improve our Jira usage and drive efficiency.

Communicate effectively: Share product vision, roadmap, and progress clearly and concisely with stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and through written documentation.

Minimum ExperienceMinimum 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or equivalent role in an Agile environment.

Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering products using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to translate user needs into actionable product requirements.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work with multiple teams.

Proficiency in Jira and related Agile tools and methodologies.

Experience with data analysis and leveraging insights for product decision-making a plus.

Onvoy experience is an additional plus.

Salary

$50.00- $65.00 / hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. The Doyle Group offers a competitive rewards package, which includes a 401k, healthcare coverage and other benefits.
