Are you an HR professional looking for Part-Time hours? The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas has a great opportunity working approximately 25 hours per week. We are on a hybrid work arrangement.

FUNCTION: The Human Resources Manager will be an integral part of the professional team. The HR Manager will have demonstrated success in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, policy development, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, payroll and compliance with employment and labor laws.

REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Reviews and maintains HR policies, processes and programs to ensure Federation is following best practices in supervision, performance management and evaluation. Ensures policies and procedures are in compliance with employment and labor laws.

2. Supports the management team by providing HR advice, counsel and decision making. Consults with external legal counsel as appropriate and/or as directed by the CEO or COO on employee relations matters.

3. Provides an additional “open door” for employees to address HR matters and advises management on appropriate resolutions to employee relations issues.

4. Administers the performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity throughout the organization.

5. Manages the full cycle recruiting and onboarding process including developing and/or maintaining accurate job descriptions, effectively posting open positions, recruiting and assessing candidates.

6. Develops and maintains a professional onboarding process which provides new hires with the best tools to make immediate quality contributions to the organization and fosters a positive attitude toward the Federation’s mission.

7. Researches, develops, writes and updates policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines, as needed.

8. Liaise with the PEO on payroll, time and attendance, benefits and other issues.

9. Processes payroll on a semi-monthly basis. Experience with HRIS and payroll systems required.

10. Responsible for submission of HR compliance reports including non-discrimination testing and 403b requirements.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

Experience: A minimum of five years of HR experience covering a broad base of responsibilities. Experience with processing Payroll and handling a time and attendance system required.

HRIS systems experience required.

· Broad knowledge and experience in interpreting employment law; compensation and benefits administration; organizational development and culture shaping, employee relations and employee development.

· Must possess excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.

· Ability to appropriately handle confidential information.

· Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Excellent computer skills with proficiency using MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

· Must be skilled in prioritizing and managing several tasks at one time.

· Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships.

· Have a solutions-minded approach.

· Ability to use independent judgment in resolving various problems.

· Demonstrated ability to collaborate with team members.
