Job Summary

The Processing Manufacturing Associate will work with the Processing Team on a variety of projects and tasks but will mainly be focused on Manufacturing in a kitchen or restaurant style manufacturing environment. Team members should be prepared to come to work with a great attitude and be ready to be on their feet working in a variety of different environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for meeting production demands and quality expectations.

Duties include, but are not limited to manufacturing products, preparing product batches for data entry in METRC (the State's inventory tracking system), performing final counts on all product transfers.

Communicate with Team Leads and assist in other areas when not performing daily tasks.

Maintain personal cleanliness in the Processing area (In compliance with GMP).

Follow equipment, chemicals and other safety protocols as required by the Company.

Maintain accurate records, inventories, and data, as needed.

Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Processing, Assistant Director of Processing, or their designees.

Qualifications

Effective time management skills.

Detail oriented, highly organized, and motivated by accomplishment.

Ability to present ideas effectively and communicate well with all levels of management.

Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of programs and projects.

Advanced computer knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Ability to work independently and in a continually changing environment.

Ability to multi-task effectively in a busy, high stress environment.

High School Diploma

Good math skills, good counting skills

Ability to follow a formula, SOP or recipe used in a kitchen/manufacturing environment

Detail-oriented

Ability to work without supervision

Meet the cleanliness standard required by law and Company policy for operating equipment

Understand compliance regulations and adheres to SOPs for specialized areas

Ability to work with temperature sensitive equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, ovens, vacuum ovens, stove tops, heat guns and thermal baths

Ability to use basic hand tools to maintain restaurant-style equipment

Ability to use a laboratory balance to add ingredients to various edible formulations

Ability to operate general mixing equipment such as stirrers, mixers, homogenizers, or ultrasonic devices.

Ability to operate lab scale mixing and homogenizing equipment

Large scale food preparation experience is a plus

At least 21 years of age

Willing to participate in an extensive background check

Physical Requirements

The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.

The ability to respond quickly to sounds.

The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.

The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.

The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.

The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time.

The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions.

The ability to work in high CO2 environments.

The ability to use a half face respirator.

The ability to complete fine motor functions.

The ability to work in low light situations.

Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity.

Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals.

This is a full-time position with variable hours required. Our facility is open from 6 am to 8 pm seven days a week. Candidates with weekend availability is required.
