The opportunity

Infravision is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Control Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electrical and mechanical components in Ground hardware systems. The role requires a strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. The position is required to operate autonomously and maintain high levels of communication between support teams globally and internally to India.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Construction Services Lead, you will be responsible for:

Routine Maintenance:Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks on Ground hardware units to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Inspect and clean electrical and mechanical components, including motors, fans, coils, filters, and power supply system..

Perform preventative maintenance procedures to extend the lifespan of Ground hardware systems and minimize downtime for both mechanical, electrical and power supply systems.

Troubleshooting and Diagnosis: Identify and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.

Analyze system performance and conduct tests to identify issues related to operational stability and control, and energy efficiency.

Recommend and implement corrective actions to resolve technical issues and restore system functionality.

Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as variable speed drives, contactors, relays, switches, and logic controllers.

Replace defective mechanical parts, including gearboxes, electric drives, sensors and power supply components.

Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards when performing repairs and replacements.

Commissioning: Commission new systems, including installation of new control system software..

Verify system performance and conduct commissioning tests to ensure proper operation and adherence to design specifications.

Provide guidance and assistance to operation teams on operating procedures, maintenance requirements.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including maintenance schedules, inspection reports, repair logs, and parts inventory.

Prepare service reports detailing work performed, findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions required.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers to provide updates on service activities and resolve issues promptly.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience as an Electrical and Mechanical Service Technician, preferably in Electrical control, automation and power systems.

Certification or diploma in Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, circuitry, and troubleshooting techniques.

Strong knowledge of industrial software applications including logic control software and integrated control system communication systems.

Ability to use diagnostic tools, meters, gauges, and testing instruments to analyze system performance and diagnose problems.

Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
