Plant General Manager

The General Manager will oversee a comprehensive team at the plant, collaborating extensively with other division managers within the company, the corporate management team, production and operation, the sales network, as well as external partners including suppliers of raw materials, equipment, services, and local authorities.

Overseeing and guiding all aspects of Plant P&L and operations, encompassing Production, Quality, R&D, Process Optimization, Maintenance, Finance, HR, Administration, and EHS functions.

Elevating operational standards by enhancing production yield, reducing production costs, minimizing working capital, ensuring service and quality excellence, and prioritizing safety.

Coordinating and executing capital expenditures for projects and new investments to foster company growth, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meeting expected quality benchmarks.

Cultivating effective communication with external customers, comprehending their needs, and delivering the requisite quality and service.

Strengthening and enhancing the team, elevating competencies, and advancing the skill levels of team members.

Coordinating departmental efforts in a collaborative team-oriented approach.

Cultivating and nurturing relationships with local authorities.

Ensuring smooth operation as per the plan, implementing judicious cost controls, including personnel, equipment, and raw material costs. Developing sound cost control strategies to mitigate operational challenges arising from high costs.

Requirements:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a mechanical manufacturing site or operation GM position within a multinational company in India or Asia countries.

Preference given to candidates with a strong understanding of injection molding and tooling, and with strong operation or engineering experience.

Fluency in English and knowledge of Tamil would be a plus.
