INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Exceptional career opportunity in its International Customer Service Department for an experienced professional. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

Role Description:

The International Operations Supervisor is an onsite position in New Freedom, Pennsylvania and is responsible for overseeing the trade compliance function. Key areas of responsibility include: 1) ensuring compliance with US import regulations as outlined by Customs and Border Protection, FDA, FWS, FTC and other regulatory agencies as well as special trade programs including Foreign Trade Zones and CTPAT, 2) maintaining responsibility for TSA compliance as the companys designated coordinator, and, 3) working cross-functionally within the organization with the Domestic Customer Service, Audit, Solutions, and Finance departments.

Job Functions:

Ensure compliance with import regulations and laws and serve as a subject matter expert on trade compliance matters.

Coordinate ocean & air import and export shipping functions as well as foreign-to-foreign moves and US Customs clearance and related processes.

Actively improve operational process controls and procedures; develop new processes as needed.

Implement metrics to track trade compliance processes and operations.

Define, implement, and conduct compliance audits to ensure corrective action processes are in place to comply with regulations.

Engage with external stakeholders such as third-party suppliers, customs brokers, carriers, and forwarders to identify opportunities and resolve customs compliance risks.

Supervise a small team of customer service representatives.

Read all Customs updates, digest and send summary to the internal team.

Qualifications:

U.S. Customs Broker License required

Bachelors degree preferred

5+ years proven experience in Import/Export Trade Compliance, including the interpretation and administration of Free Trade Agreements, US HTS classification, valuation and import brokerage operations

Experience with CargoWise global TMS

Demonstrated experience working in ocean & air import/export, international parcel and drayage

Duty drawback experience required; preferred knowledge of drawback in ACE.

Ability to work well both independently and in a cross-functional team environment.

Strong project management and multitasking skills with adherence to deadlines.

Exceptional data analytic and Excel skills.
