Responsibilities:

Responsible for overall growth for CBD2 portfolio through growth of loans, deposits, interest income and non-funded income leading to achievement of top lines target of GOP, NOP including challenging new business domain to achieve unique KPI set by JC Managing Director (MD) and JCIB Planning Tokyo which is aligned to Parent Bank's strategy and aspiration.

To fully take charge and responsible for the following :-

(I) Credit and non-credit corporate customers or any new corporate

customers as assigned by the Management ;

(ii) Borrower Rating Review of entire Japanese Corporate Banking

Department.

Responsible to provide strategic leadership to team of CBD2 Relationship Managers (RM) together with Advisor, Exec Advisor, MD to support business activities and also responsible to manage administrative matters including attending, checking credit renewals, alterations etc. including borrower rating reviews. Incumbents are also responsible in management and handling all aspects of customer relationship management including trouble-shooting and related operations.

Incumbent also required to maintain good and robust communication with all customers in CBD2 through regular visits, contacts and discussions and to monitor the usage of the Bank's credit facilities granted with collaboration with Domestic Office, Advisors, Exec Advisors and MD.

Responsible to ensure CBD2 complies and adheres fully to relevant policies, procedures, regulations, guidelines in line with BNM, Parent Bank requirements and putting in place proper controls to mitigate risk and also enhance and build a strong and robust risk compliance culture in CBD2.

To take immediate action (in consultation with Management) to safeguard or recover credit granted to customers that shows sign of deterioration, early warnings etc. in business, management and merits upon facts, information or rumors to enhance our credit risk management framework.

To support the business promotion and operational activities of MUFG Labuan by providing various assistance which may be required from time to time.

To support MD to develop, retain and build human talent to as part of sustainability of the Bank. Also to be responsible for the overall deliverables of the department including but not limited to supervising, coaching and developing team members.

Requirements:

Applicant must have a recognized Degree in Business Administration, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or its equivalent from a recognized university/higher learning institution.

Possess 15 years of relevant working experience in financial markets and banking industry.

Strong PC skill in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, MS Access, Power Point).

Track record, sound knowledge and experience in managing Japanese Corporates clients.

Able to work under pressure with good accuracy.

Have experience in leading a team.

Outstanding communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of management.

Note: Successful applicant will first assume the role at VP level and is subject to year long assessment and evaluation.
