ICT Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled ICT Support Engineer to join our established group of schools.

As a key member of our technology team, the successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation and reliability of our IT infrastructure, contributing to an environment that enhances educational excellence.

The ICT Support Engineer will possess a solid understanding and expertise in providing daily IT support within our schools.

Reporting to the IT Manager, this role is instrumental in assisting the IT Director to deliver an efficient and effective IT service to our school staff, pupils, and other stakeholders.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000, plus additional benefits such as flexible working arrangements.

Main Duties & Responsibilities: Assist the IT Director in supporting the academic, pastoral, and other needs of students by enhancing the quality of teaching and learning, and thus helping all students to reach their full potential through the maintenance of fully operational IT networks across the trust.

Actively maintain, update, and support a variety of IT infrastructure and software systems within the trust across diverse teaching and learning settings.

This includes providing hardware and software support for desktop computers, laptops, wired and wireless networks, printers, telephone systems, CCTV, and more.

Collaborate with the Trust Infrastructure Manager to plan and address issues affecting the network, implementing preventative and corrective measures as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience: Proven experience in IT support and the deployment of IT infrastructure within an educational setting.

Proficiency in Windows environments, Microsoft 365, virtualization platforms, and system management tools.

Understanding of networking, Wi-Fi technologies, and firewall/web filtering devices.

Excellent communication skills and client engagement capabilities.

Industry certifications from Microsoft (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) are highly regarded.
