Industrial Electrician

Staff Management SMX is looking for an Industrial Electrician. This Temp-to-hire role has a competitive pay of $45/hour with 12 hour rotating shifts. The shift technician is responsible for plant reliability in designated area of the plant; equipment downtime, execution of permanent repairs and preventative maintenance, and significant improvement of area, and maximizes overall area and plant performance through reliability.

Job Responsibilities

What will be your key responsibilities?

Perform all complex troubleshooting and repairs to minimize downtime

Playing an active role as a leader on shift

Technical resource for complicated changeover procedures and ensures effectiveness

Notifies Technical Leaders of potential upgrades and modifications

Fluent in CMMS add and complete work orders through CMMS providing adequate detail and follow-up

Recommend and implement improvements for recurring reliability issues in the site

Attend and participate in shift maintenance planning and downtime meetings

Participate, in all full-line maintenance days

Provides training for operators in proper PM and work order completion

Plays an active role in the effective communication of technical activities to designated and following shift

Physical Requirements:

Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping

Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment

Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods

Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs and to conduct multi-task work in a very fast paced work environment

Ability to read, write and understand English

Minimum Requirements

5+ years experience maintaining mechanical systems/equipment in a high-speed production environment

Strong technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of manufacturing safety, HACCP, ISO, materials conversion, etc

Working knowledge of SAP PM

Post-Secondary Education in a technical field

Industrial Electrician with 442a certification is a MUST

Associate Requirements

HS Diploma or GED

Must be at least 18 years old

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $45.00 - $45.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
