Network Engineer

Are you an expert with Cisco Meraki & Cisco Networking of core routing and switches? BCT has a hybrid contract-to-hire Network Engineer in DFW to troubleshoot & resolve technical issues.

CONTRACT PAY: Up to $60/hour depending on candidate's experience, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enhance security posture through configuration, firewall management, or code management

Design networks that will meet or exceed business requirements by partnering with application, infrastructure & business teams

Develop lifecycle roadmaps to maintain hardware/software currency

Partner with carriers to ensure the best transport is in place at best price point

Troubleshoot & resolve technical problems plus ensure continuous optimization of the network

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science related field highly preferred

A minimum of 5 years of experience in Enterprise Network support desired

Expert-level experience of Cisco Networking and core routing/switching

Proficient with Cisco Meraki in a branch (hub/spoke) deployment model

Excellent knowledge of Fortinet Firewall SD-WAN technology plus Ruckus wireless technology

Cyber Security experience is a plus

VoIP (preferably Skype for Business) & the tuning for optimal performance

Certifications preferred to have are NSE4, CCNA, and/or CCNP

Proficient with design/configuration of security controls at the network layer

Analytical problem-solving skills to minimize the impact on business

Aptitude for learning & teaching in a team environment
