SUMMARY

The Phoenix Crane Service Inc. assistant Project Manager will organize, plan, communicate, and manage initiatives (projects) from conception through completion to ensure they meet company and customer expectations. The assistant Project Manager will develop comprehensive plans involving the allocation of resources, configurations of equipment, logistics, and site plans while managing timelines and budget allocations.

The position requires a self-starter and driven individual to perform a wide variety of activities on a daily basis. These activities require the employee to perform in an efficient manner while meeting deadlines and expectations. The Project Manager will work collaboratively with all Phoenix Crane departments and the Phoenix Crane Management team.

RESPONSIBILITIES (list is not inclusive)

Core Responsibilities

Must manage communications through multiple channels daily. (Phone, E-mail, Teams, etc.…) All plans and updates must be communicated outward as they happen.

Must be able to manage numerous schedules and work directly with the internal sales team members, operations management, and the service team

Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations, safety, dispatch, and sales, to ensure project success.

Outline the tasks involved in projects and delegate accordingly.

Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards and client requirements. (3D Lift Plans, Contractor Specific Plans, Machine Specific Documentation, Logistics Plans, Obtaining customer acceptance of project deliverables.

Meet with project team members to identify and resolve issues.

Create detailed project schedules and coordinate crane availability and deployment.

Coordinate with the operations team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of ongoing projects and address any project-related issues or challenges promptly to minimize disruptions.

Assist in preparation of project documents/compliance documents

Must be proficient with applications to aide in Dispatch operations, i.e., Visual Dispatch, Google Earth/Maps, MS Office Suite

Able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Assist with the logistics management of equipment such as spreader bars, man baskets, trailers, and additional non-crane related inventory.

Must be able to work independently and effectively with minimal direct supervision.

Customer Service Responsibilities

Must be able to solve complex Issues revolving around the following:

Customer – Scheduling related, service level issues, time discrepancies, last minute adjustments to scheduling

Confirm job information and packages are complete

Must be able to be inquisitive and drill down with direct questions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Ability to work independently with a high attention to detail

Excellent oral and written communication skills

General product knowledge of cranes and capabilities

Self-starter with motivation and self confidence
