Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking an Sr Business Systems Analyst to join our team in Salisbury, MD. The position will be a part of team that responsible for design, development, and implementation of new systems and technologies as well as support and enhancement of existing systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, evaluate existing systems, and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to learn business processes.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and solutions.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Conduct a comprehensive analysis of existing systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

Develop detailed system specifications, including architecture, functionality, and integration requirements.

Design and execute test plans to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of systems.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering professional growth and development.

Stay current with industry trends and best practices, evaluating emerging technologies for potential adoption.

Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance system performance.

Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of systems.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferably with studies in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration

Experience Requirements

Knowledge in systems analysis, programming, and systems development methodology.

Must possess strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as the position requires direct communication with end users and business leaders.

Must be comfortable working in a team environment.

Ability to travel occasionally, possibly overnight, to any customer area, which could be any Company facility or to a remote site or to a training facility or conference.

Strong SQL knowledge is required.

Proficiency in software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

Experience Preferred

Experience in VB.NET, Python, R, Dataiku, Snowflake and Power BI

Experience with Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) systems

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management

Experience with DycoTrade CTRM

Experience with Salesforce

Knowledge of Data Analytics concepts and tools is a plus

Prior use of Jira software

Understanding of agricultural business industry and processes

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.

When in a plant environment:

Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.

May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degree to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.

May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.

May be exposed to all chemicals found in poultry, food and processing plant.

Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
