This role entails supporting various HR functions and tasks by offering administrative assistance to both management and staff. This includes handling aspects like employee relations, benefits, recruitment, and training activities. Responsibilities also involve aiding in employee coaching and counseling, addressing staff queries, facilitating the onboarding process, managing benefits processing, payroll, timekeeping, and data entry into ADP. This position is exempt from overtime and directly reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources. Membership in SHRM and PHR certification preferred.

Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.

Strong consulting abilities and proven capability to work effectively in both team leadership and team member roles.

Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to manage, establish, evaluate, and expand workflow efficiently among team members.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Key Accountabilities:

Reviews all human resources actions and activities generated by employees in compliance with established human resources policies and procedures, and makes recommendations for improvement over current practices.

Works closely with the Director of HR and senior management to ensure policies and processes are implemented in compliance with Human Resources practices.

Advises and assists management and staff in responding to employee issues and concerns by interpreting established applicable HR policies and procedures and making responsible recommendations as necessary and appropriate.

Initiates and recommends appropriate measures to address underlying systemic issues, such as policy clarification, appropriate training, or other development interventions.

Assists management and staff with policy and procedure interpretation, becoming familiar with their application and proper processes.

Assists in orienting new employees, benefits enrollment, processing new hire paperwork, and requests for systems access for new staff.

Provides accurate information, conducts research, and disseminates appropriate internal and external material on HR issues and trends.

May provide in-service training support as requested.

Keeps the Director and senior management informed of issues and trends arising from the business, and in consultation with the Director, provides appropriate recommendations for process improvement or conclusions as necessary.

Assists in coaching, counseling, and investigative HR processes, and prepares necessary documentation as required, including assistance with termination proceedings and the preparation of written correspondence.

Represents HR in special events, meetings, and company-sponsored activities.
