Director of Estimating

Location: New Jersey - Hybrid or Remote

Role: Director of Estimating

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 per annum

Sector: Utility-scale Solar

Our Clients are seeking an experienced individual to take on the role of Director of Estimating. This is a pivotal position responsible for managing bids, estimating, procurement, and supporting various aspects of project development and construction work.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the entire bidding process, including solicitation, estimating, and procurement of long-lead time items.

Manage costs effectively, review proposals, scopes, and other relevant documentation.

Assist in preparing responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Statements of Interest (SOIs).

Develop and maintain standard processes for development and construction activities.

Provide support during the project sale phase, contributing to negotiations and agreements at the time of Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Collaborate with project attorneys and engineers on contractual agreements and development tasks.

Provide support to the President, CEO, and Executive Vice President as needed.

Interface with the development team and other key stakeholders during project development, tracking new information and handling Requests for Information (RFIs) and Data Rooms.

Coordinate with engineers and attorneys on permit acquisition processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in estimating and bidding processes within Solar industry

Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as MS Office and project management tools.
