Our client is a leading provider of innovative packaging solutions. As the site is the flagship site for the organization, it is crucial that the right level of expertise is present. They require a person dedicated to innovative material science who will ensure superior quality products, reliability, and support a culture of continuous improvement.

With this, they have required our assistance to find a Packaging Engineer. The Engineer will lead the qualification efforts for new and existing external products in North America, serving both internal and external customers. Their primary focus will involve developing specifications, test methods, and qualification procedures to ensure compliance with performance standards and critical quality requirements.

Experience And Education Required:

Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering required.

Proficiency in plastics, extrusion, printing, and/or converting processes necessary.

Accumulated experience of 5-8 years in supplier development, quality, process engineering, or product development essential.

Demonstrated flexibility in high-performance work environments and matrix-managed organizations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with professional presentation and negotiation abilities.

Familiarity with statistical techniques and tools, including their application and interpretation.

Ability to manage projects and processes involving multiple manufacturing areas, plants, and various business segments.

Proven capability to work independently and focus on critical project parameters determining success or failure.

Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC), with preferred Lean Six Sigma or Black/Green Belt certification.

Self-starter mentality, capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision.

Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
