Summary

Industrial Engineer

Job Description: As an Industrial Engineer for Winding Productivity, you will be integral to enhancing machine utilization and reducing wait times through smart, ergonomic improvements. Your role will be crucial in driving our continuous improvement culture, focusing on maximizing productivity and minimizing waste across our operations.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies for productivity improvement in the winding area, focusing on machine utilization, running efficiency, and elimination of waiting time.

Engage in continuous improvement activities using tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and Total Productive Maintenance to optimize safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost.

Collect and analyze data pertinent to productivity and waste reduction.

Implement process improvements based on thorough data analysis and workflow optimization.

Coordinate with production teams to manage schedules and enhance service delivery to maximize productivity.

Enforce rigorous quality control measures to minimize waste and enhance process efficiency.

Evaluate and redesign workflow and processes to improve both efficiency and ergonomics.

Plan, track, and manage CAPEX projects from inception through to successful operational handoff, maintaining strict adherence to budget and timeline constraints.

Experience & Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in productivity improvement or process improvement in an industrial setting.

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.

Demonstrable experience with lean manufacturing concepts and tools such as 6S Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, and more.

Advanced competency in data collection, analysis, and the ability to use this information to make informed decisions.

Proficient with Windows Office, AutoCAD, and/or Inventor.

Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on diagnostic abilities with both mechanical and electrical systems.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships.

Self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a team environment.
