Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Oviedo, FL This is a 3 Months with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Description:

Specific Duties:

Prepare examination rooms and sterilizing equipment.

Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG’s.

Administer injections and collect specimen.

Document patient care using NextGen electronic medical record software.

Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork

Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with minor, in-office procedures.

Must have qualifications/experience:

High school graduate, GED or equivalent.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross).

2 or more years of relevant back office, medical assistant experience required for those without an accredited Medical Assistant diploma or RMA or CMA designation.

CMA or RMA will be considered in lieu of experience.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
