Seeking a dedicated Network Engineer to manage network access, connectivity and operations at UFC APEX in Vegas and beyond.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Planning, procurement, designing, developing, configuring, and commissioning networks and associated systems for network monitoring and incident management.

Network documentation and policy design/compliance.

Analyzing, evaluating and monitoring network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance.

Troubleshooting and diagnosing network problems, and determining the most appropriate means of resolving problems and issues to improve network performance.

Monitoring the overall performance of systems to assess the need for updates, upgrades, enhancements, preventive maintenance and new systems, and recommending options for upgrading and improving the performance of systems.

Liaising with network carriers and external resources on behalf of the organization; monitoring performance delivery.

Design and implementation of the processes, procedures, and operational management associated with high levels of network availability and risk management.

24x7 Support of Network Services.

Research and development of new products and services relevant to areas of responsibility.

Business case development and evaluation in support of proposed initiatives.

Assist Sr Director, North America Infrastructure with strategic and tactical planning and budget development for network operations.

Network documentation and policy creation and management.

Escalation point and mentor for Helpdesk, and Infrastructure teams.

Producing clear and concise documentation.

Key Results Areas

Responsible for North America Network Infrastructure operations (security and availability).

Maintains Network Infrastructure to a high standard and successfully manages and delivers various projects.

Consistently at work on time, follows instructions and/or lead other team members if required, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.

Consult senior management for the design and implementation of new networks and datacenter initiatives.

Foster strong work ethic, operational disciplines and to develop the advanced levels of competency needed to deliver high levels of network and datacenter availability.

To provide strategic planning in terms of best practice, cost management, potential products/services and application of emerging technologies.

Knowledge and Experience

8+ years working in integration and/or migration large-scale, mission-critical network implementations/migrations in a 24x7 or global environment.

Leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience desired.

Knowledge and application of networks within a media agency and content delivery networks are desired.

In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN communications, network hardware, specifically Cisco routers, switches, bridges, gateways, and firewalls.

Strong understanding and practical experience with routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF.

Skills and Abilities

Senior level hands-on skills (switching and routing)

Network analysis and design skills

Expert in multicast networking

Expert with Dante Audio Networking and other video over IP protocols

Routing protocol concepts (BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, QoS)

Network monitoring concepts (Solarwinds, KiwiCat Tools, etc)

Traffic management and measurement concepts (Netflow, etc)

Authentication systems (RADIUS, TACACS, etc)

Firewall concepts (Cisco ASA, Cisco NGFW)

Load balancers and proxy concepts (F5, etc)

Penetration testing & intrusion detection concepts (Cisco Firepower Threat Defence)

Windows systems administration skills (2012R2, 2016)

Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare)

Client and clientless VPN concepts (Remote Access Server, Cisco AnyConnect)

Qualifications and Training

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

7+ Years working in a technical environment with a focus on network management.

Experience in network design

Design and implementation experience for change, incident and problem management process (preferably ITIL based)

ISP experience

Cisco CCNP or above
