Windchill Data Migration Architect with WBM

Position Overview: The Windchill Data Migration Architect will be responsible for architecting and executing large-scale data migration projects from multiple source systems to Windchill, with a focus on Windchill Bulk Migration (WBM) and AWS cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in data migration strategies, AWS services, and Windchill application architecture, enabling them to design and implement efficient and scalable migration solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients to understand their data migration requirements, including source system analysis, data mapping, and migration strategy development.

Architect end-to-end data migration solutions for transitioning large volumes of data from on-premises systems to the AWS cloud, leveraging Windchill Bulk Migration (WBM) tools and best practices.

Develop detailed migration plans, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring data integrity and security throughout the migration lifecycle.

Configure and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure components, such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Snowball, to support efficient data migration and synchronization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business analysts, to implement data migration solutions in alignment with project timelines and objectives.

Conduct performance testing and optimization activities to ensure the scalability and reliability of data migration processes, identifying and resolving bottlenecks as needed.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, assisting with troubleshooting complex issues and mitigating risks related to data migration.

Document migration processes, technical specifications, and best practices, ensuring knowledge transfer and supportability of implemented solutions.

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data migration, AWS cloud services, and Windchill application architecture, incorporating relevant advancements into project methodologies and solutions.

Support pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations, proposal development, and client presentations, showcasing expertise in Windchill data migration and AWS cloud integration.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

5+ years of experience in Windchill data migration architecture and implementation, with a focus on Windchill applications and AWS cloud services.

4-5 years of experience in Windchill Bulk Migration (WBM) tools and methodologies, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.

Strong understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, Snowball, and Data Sync, with hands-on experience in architecting and deploying cloud-based solutions.

Experience with large-volume data migration projects, including data synchronization, data quality assurance, and performance tuning.

Knowledge of data integration technologies and standards, such as ETL, RESTful APIs, XML, and JSON.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive effective resolutions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.

AWS certification(s) (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred.

Willingness to travel occasionally for client engagements (post-pandemic).
