Teacher

We are hiring a Toddler Teacher with the ages of 1-2 year old.

Hours are 8:00am-4:00pm Monday -Friday

This is a great position to gain experience working with children. We are a center looking for a positive and fun teacher who has a dedication to educating and caring for little kiddos!

Responsibilities: create lesson plans, daily circle-time, art projects, potty-training, daily cleaning responsibilities. Must enjoy working with children, have a positive attitude, work well with other staff members.

Work/Education: Must have a High School Diploma or GED and 1 year childcare experience or an AA in ECE is prefered.

Hours: Monday-Friday 40 hrs per week

The person hired will undoubtedly need to be okay with changing diapers, assist with feeding, enjoy working with the children, keeping safety minded in the classroom and keeping daily records of the children's day. This position is full time. The person hired will work in our toddler room.

Staff will be required to attend monthly training meetings in the evening at least 1 per month.

All applicants will need to obtain an FBI fingerprint, Sex Offender, Criminal Record check, child abuse and complete a full background check. Sitting, standing, hearing/listening, seeing, stooping, lifting 35+ pounds, bending, getting up & down from the floor with ease frequently during the day, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling are part of the job.

Requirements:

Highschool Diploma,

Experience as a child care worker

Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

Excellent communication and instructional skills

Ability to act as mediator between children

Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable

Certification in child CPR

FBI clearance

Child abuse clearance

Criminal Record Check

Sex Offender clearance

Current physical

Mandated Reporter

Salary: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
