Construction Associate Attorney

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with an fantastic full-service law firm in Nashville to recruit an associate attorney for the firm's highly regarded, national construction practice. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience with construction law and litigation in a sophisticated law firm setting. A professional background in the construction industry prior to attending law school is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Represent construction industry clients (contractors, developers, owners) in disputes arising over commercial construction projects, construction defect claims, and other complex construction disputes.

Review, draft, and advise clients on construction contracts, including AIA contracts.

Conduct legal research and writing; manage discovery; draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate from a highly regarded law school with excellent academic credentials

Admission to Tennessee bar in good standing, or ability to become licensed in Tennessee

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Construction industry background preferred
