Project Manager

Responsibilities:

This position plans, manages and directs business and technology teams to implement technology and business solutions from project initiation and planning through the execution and successful implementation. Requires specialized expertise in project management and business analysis disciplines. Interprets internal and external business issues between stakeholders and recommends best practices. Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions. Works independently with guidance in only the most complex situations. This position will be based in Arlington, VA with potential travel to Lincoln, NE and work a hybrid schedule with 2 "in office" days and 3 "work from home" days.

Position Responsibilities:

Plan and manage multiple concurrent complex projects

Apply project management tools/techniques through the project lifecycle to solution

Anticipate the needs, risks, and challenges developing effective and feasible solutions

Collaborate, influence and effectively guide stakeholders across multiple functional areas and various levels of the organization

Develop ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ business and technology process flows

Work in conjunction with stakeholders and business analysts to develop robust project requirements and translate them into functional solutions

Translate vision and objectives from business stakeholder to technology solution teams

Work Experience: 9+ years

Geography: Preferred in office 2 days per week – Arlington location with potential travel to Lincoln within engagement

Nice to have Skills:

Experience as a Project Manager/Business Analyst in an insurance, financial management, employee benefit administration or related field

Experience in a complex technology and data infrastructure that includes the integration of multiple core product platforms and includes a blending of customized/configured vendor supplied systems, in-house developed systems and cloud-based/on-premise systems

Experience as a Scrum Master

Experience in managing software development projects in a Cloud environment
