POSITION SUMMARY:
The Commercial Insurance Associate is responsible for conducting client research, supporting the pre and post-renewal process, and preparing client deliverables for commercial lines (i.e., property and casualty), and financial lines (i.e., D&O/E&O Cyber).
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Work in a team environment to provide insurance solutions for new and existing clients
Compliance with BFSI policies and procedures manual; support quality assurance process
SPECIFIC TASKS:
Utilize system capability (AMS) properly to maintain complete and accurate data and documents
Invoice Agency Bill accounts
Set up Premium financing and assist with premium payment.
Issue certificates of insurance
Complete Surplus Lines filing
Assist with premium payment follow-ups
Assistance with follow up tasks for Account Managers and Account Executives
Order Loss runs and prepare loss summaries
Prepare claims reporting manuals
Prepare client presentations, reports, documents, premium summaries, etc.
Participate in renewal strategy meetings with service team and Producers
Develop insurer quotes and analyze/compare the quotes for difference is premium and coverage
Participate in underwriter discussions with account team
Maintain/create reference materials (vendor lists, insurer minimum requirements) on behalf of the team
Assist in business and industry research for a prospect
Maintain privileged and confidential information

REQUIREMENTS:
1+ year(s) of relevant insurance industry experience
Bachelor’s Degree is required
Appropriate state licensing required at time of hire or achieved within 90 days of hire date
Insurance industry designations are preferred
Intermediate level of experience with Excel and PowerPoint
