JDE Application Development Manager (Hybrid)
Location: Morton Grove, IL
Role Overview:
This role presents a significant opportunity to influence the delivery of solutions within our organization, both internally and externally. As the Application Manager, you will lead efforts to shape solutions and integrations across our enterprise and for our client partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising the technical team responsible for our ERP solution (JD Edwards)
Overseeing the design, development, and deployment of high-quality business applications
Leading the approach and design of integrations with partners
Utilizing technical and functional expertise to act as the lead architect in solution design
Conducting design and review sessions with development teams, business partners, and management
Managing multiple projects concurrently using formal project management methodologies
Ensuring accurate reflection of completed work against project plans, schedules, and budgets
Guiding application design through various lifecycle stages from inception to delivery
Prioritizing project tasks, scope, budgets, and timelines
Evaluating and recommending vendor solutions and proposals for software and hardware
Creating business cases for requested investments
Developing project documentation and training materials as needed
Providing technical support and assistance when required
Establishing and enforcing best practices, policies, and procedures for compliance
Communicating regularly with management on project progress and other initiatives
Candidate Profile:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing and architecting solutions within an ERP environment on an IBM i platform
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and agile environment

Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
8+ years of demonstrated application development management experience in an ERP environment
Knowledge of supply chain principles and ERP systems
Strong technical proficiency in IBM i (AS/400), RPG, RPGIV/LE, CLP, SQL, and DB2/400
Extensive integration experience using APIs/web services and ODBC/JDBC connections
Results-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Teams
Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels
Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects, requests, and support tasks effectively
Experience with Oracle JD Edwards World and data warehouse/ETL processing preferred
Knowledge of additional tools such as Aldon, Robot, MuleSoft, JSON, XML, HTML, ASP.net, iCluster, Apache, Jira is a plus
