Trial Attorney

Job Title: Litigation Attorney (contract)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas – Hybrid – on-site in Fort Worth office at least 2 or 3 days a week

LHH is seeking a licensed Litigation Attorney with a strong background in litigation and preferably experience in oil & gas matters to join our client's team in Fort Worth, Texas.

Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research and analysis related to litigation matters.

Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

Assist with the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.

Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials.

Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Collaborate with colleagues and support staff on case strategy and preparation.

Manage caseload efficiently and meet deadlines.

Willingness to be trained and learn new skills as needed.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Active license to practice law in the state of Texas.

Minimum of 5 years of solid litigation experience.

Experience in oil & gas matters is a plus.

Strong understanding of the litigation process, including discovery and motion practice.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Willingness to engage in all aspects of litigation and trial preparation.

Recent writing sample demonstrating legal writing ability required.
