Cyber Security Engineer

Job Title: Cloud Cyber Security Engineer

Duration: 3 month contract-to-hire

Location: On-site M-F 8am-5pm in Irvine, CA

Day to Day:

This person will be evaluating a cloud security tool- help find cloud based vulnerabilities. (New Tools: Wiz or Laceworks) using tool to find cloud misconfigurations and remediation.

Performing assessment duties, to make sure they are using their own skillset assessing cloud environment for things that are not correct today.

Must Haves:

Experience/ familiarity with Prisma Cloud, Orca, Laceworks

Experience with AWS ( most important), Azure or GCP (3-5 years of experience).

Experience with supporting Windows.

Experience in Cloud Networking Architecture/ cloud operations

2. Python Scripting – For automation purposes. Must be able to write Python code from scratch

If they have other scripting languages – that may work as well.

3. Application Development Security Testing: Experience Application Development Security Testing (AST) is an important part of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and is essential for ensuring the security of software applications. It encompasses various methodologies and tools to identify, address, and prevent security vulnerabilities in applications.

Oracle Cloud

Familiarity with tools such as Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Cloudflare, and Salt.- preferred

Cloud access security broker (CASB) experience

HIPPA/ healthcare background
