As DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the engineering build infrastructure using the latest technology within the NSD Technology organization as a hands-on leader. We are looking for someone who is passionate about enabling the adoption of industry standard methodologies and technologies in automated environment to build, deploy and report for the organization. Enabling seamless automation of deployment through our NSD cloud platform ecosystem from IaaS to the monitoring and logging of our various applications. This includes managing the day to day build pipelines and standardized system infrastructure and ensuring that our platforms and applications are stable, as well as working to the highest quality possible. Candidates should have clear ability to trouble shoot issues as well as demonstrate effective communication.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, BitBucket and Octopus

Proactively monitoring and responding to Application Performance metrics

Site Reliability Engineering

Creating, maintaining, monitoring, and securing Azure resources adhering to modern conventions, standards, and best practices leveraging Infrastructure as Code

Collaborate with developers to assist troubleshooting applications and deployments

Perform and assist developers with Root Cause Analysis for incidents involving IT systems

Maintaining, improving, and troubleshooting internal Platform Engineering systems, workflows, and toolchains

Rotating on-call schedule for Production outage of IT systems under DevOps team purview

Education and Work Experience:

Expert at performing scripting and automation tasks

Expert with web server technologies, specifically Windows Server with IIS running in a Virtual Machine (Hyper-V and VMware)

Experience with Azure cloud resource administration/engineering

Proficient with creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines; BitBucket, ADO, Octopus experience preferred.

Software development experience a plus

Experience with Application Performance Monitoring tools, such as Application Insights

Strong problem solving and communication skills are a must.

Strong proponent of, and adherent to, modern processes and procedures: Agile, ITIL, DevSecOps

Networking knowledge a plus

Infrastructure as Code using ARM, BICEP templates and scripts

Experience with implementing monitoring and site reliability engineering

Git version control experience a plus

Strong understanding of REST APIs

Self-starter, self-motivated, adept at working within a team as well as solo

Proficient with Powershell, HTML, JavaScript, JSON

Basic familiarity with SQL databases, SQL Server specifically

Experience with container technologies a plus

Organizational tech stack: ASP Classic, .NET, VBScript, PowerShell, NodeJS, React, Angular, SQL Server
