This culinary connoisseur is responsible for ensuring that every morsel that reaches your tray meets the highest quality standards.
But how do they ensure that every meal is up to par?
As the Quality Manager, you'll be responsible for implementing, auditing, assessing, and training quality systems within our facility. That means you'll be the one ensuring that our airline catering, in-flight equipment and logistics, and onboard service and retail are top-notch.
How you make a difference
Implement, audit, assess, and train quality systems
Provide technical expertise relative to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), food safety, sensory, and quality evaluations
Track performance and monitor facility progress objectively weekly based on internal key indicators required by the organization, regulatory agencies, and customers
Conduct monthly HACCP audits and assess HACCP program compliance by reviewing and analyzing weekly HACCP logs and management checklists to determine consistent fulfillment of required HACCP standard operating
Support leadership with inspection readiness, and coach the team before, during, and after all external quality, food safety, and sanitation inspections
Supervise delivery and quality assurance of pest control, contract services, and supplies
Conduct local vendor audits
Research and respond to all alleged food-borne incidents
Monitor routine microbiological testing program
Implement tools to promote internalization and standardization of quality, food safety, and sanitation process
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards (e.g. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), HACCP, etc) and follow up with corrective actions if necessary
Ensure the kitchen exceeds customer and internal standards
Maintain and utilize quality system processes and procedures to impact customer quality
Perform and document periodical and random checks on products and services to ensure quality standards are met
Analyze and reply to quality issues reported by customers
Investigate all food safety incidences, food poisoning, etc, and initiate appropriate action and reporting
Quality Reporting
Monitor and prepare reports for the quality management system
Collect and monitor all quality documents (e.g. Chef Table, portion control, equipment handling, ramp-on time, and safety performance)
Keep manuals and documentation updated and implement new procedures and rules
Make the company's values and management principles live in the department(s)
Plan / Implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
Participate and support company-sponsored initiatives such as Global Quality Standards (GQS), HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee SafetyExperience, and Skills
What you should have for this role:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
In addition, three to five years experience in Quality
Experience with compliance and regulatory audits
Proven analytical and leadership skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results
Working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations
Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills are required combined with an aptitude for multitasking
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
