Design Drafter

Airswift is working in partnership with a global leader in air quality and fluid handling solutions, which is currently looking to hire a Drafter.

Primary Responsibilities:

Examines project requirements and design details to ensure adequacy for fulfilling the design concept.

Collaborates on generating engineering documents and calculations utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, and Vault.

Coordinates with Project Managers and Engineers to establish project milestones and deadlines.

Selects appropriate methods for drafting, including customized CAD templates or updating existing files.

Analyzes various data sources to plan and design projects effectively.

Executes the drawing process in accordance with project scopes and quality standards.

Conducts quality reviews and makes necessary corrections to drawings.

Ensures alignment of drawings with project scopes and corporate drafting standards.

Assists in the preparation of project work scopes and estimates.

Undertakes similar duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Recent (within 6 months) experience using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor

Prior experience designing large cyclones or large ASME pressure vessels

Holds an associate degree in Drafting or CAD Technology with 3-5 years of experience; or 8 years of demonstrated

Relevant experience in a mechanical engineering field

Willingness to work onsite in Houston

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using ANSYS

Experience using COMPRESS
