The Customs Compliance Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of importing and exporting Costco merchandise in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

The Customs Compliance Analyst will liaise with multiple departments to support Costco's import, export and SFCA programs and may be required to provide training.

The Customs Compliance Analyst will also be responsible to document that food products sold by Costco have the appropriate Safe Food for Canadians Act (SFCA) licenses and have gone through the internal SFCA process.

Qualifications (Costco-specific or industry-specific skills that candidates must possess) Education/Training : University degree in a Customs related field is preferred.

Permits/Licenses/Certifications: Licensed CCS – Certified Customs Specialist is required.

Experience needed : 3-5 years import and export compliance and/or international trade experience is required.

Experience with CFIA and OGD rules is required.

Knowledge/Skills: Good knowledge of import and export global trade regulations, import classifications, valuation, country of origin, Trade program and CFIA/Health Canada Licensing is required . Excellent knowledge of business software applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Google and Excel) is required.

Knowledge of CFIA, Health Canada and Labeling regulations is required.

Strong working knowledge of Iseries options, is required.

Manage different priorities with precision and attention to detail while meeting deadlines.

Possess excellent analytical skills Possess autonomy, initiative and a strong sense of responsibility.

Have leadership abilities.

This is an in person position at the Ottawa Office.

With the possibility to work from home 2 days a weeks after the probationary period of 90 days.
