What The Role Looks Like As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for optimizing the user experience and eliminating points of friction within the FlexPay solution and ensuring the sustainability of our product through blending user needs with business goals.

A day in the life of this position includes: Developing and refining the information architecture of products to ensure logical and efficient navigation through wireframing and prototyping.

Producing interactive prototypes to illustrate design concepts and functionality, gathering feedback from stakeholders and users.

Collaborating with Product Managers and other stakeholders to understand user needs, business requirements and goals.

Using story mapping techniques to visualize the user journey and identify areas for improvement.

Conducting usability testing and gathering feedback to inform and validate design decisions.

Building prototypes, experimenting with different versions while soliciting feedback to assess usability and ultimately identifying the best solution.

Contributing to the FlexPay product roadmap by understanding and leveraging user feedback, market needs, and internal planning.

Working closely with the engineering team, providing clear design requirements, and ensuring the implementation of designs meets user experience standards.

Defining key UX metrics, monitoring product usage and user feedback and proactively taking action to bolster and improve both.

Staying up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve our products.

Who We’re Looking For You are an experienced Product Designer, with a focus on User Experience and solid experience managing SaaS based products through their lifecycle, from conception through end-of-life.

You thrive when given the autonomy to have a substantial impact on a company’s performance, in an environment of smart, driven, and competent colleagues.

You enjoy developing and integrating business goals into design and product decisions and proactively research and keep on top of industry trends to gain a deep knowledge and understanding of the business and competitive landscape.

An interest in FinTech and E-Commerce is not critical, but a bonus!

What We’re Looking For 4+ years’ experience in UX Product Design, ideally within a SaaS based organization.

Track record of providing data driven UX improvements to consumer products on both web and mobile platforms.

A strong and diverse portfolio that showcases expertise in information architecture, interaction design, prototyping and user story mapping.

Proficiency in creating sitemaps, user flows and wireframes to communicate and implement effective information architecture.

Experience designing end-to-end journeys with strategic storytelling through user flows, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes.

Expertise in creating and refining user stories and utilizing user story mapping techniques to visualize user journeys, identify pain point and suggest improvements.

Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, Visio, Material Design, and other design tools.

Experience working in Confluence, Azure DevOps, and Power BI.

Experience working within single page applications and angular frameworks and agile methodologies.

Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies with strong research and competitor analysis skills.

Experience in FinTech/Payment processing an asset.

Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.

Experience working in an Agile environment.

Bachelor’s degree in design & interaction or a related field preferred by not required.

An analytical, strategic, and metrics-oriented mindset.

Excellent project and time management skills.

Ability to successfully multitask in a deadline-driven environment.

Strong team player, with experience working as part of a cross functional team.

Outside of the box thinking, someone who is not afraid to ask questions and look for new/different solutions.

Experience in a startup environment preferred.

Ability to work Eastern hours required.
