As we continue to grow, Loopstra Nixon is recruiting a Manager, Compliance Services to join our firm.

This new position is a key leadership role responsible for supervising the Compliance Services Group, enhancing operational efficiencies, and ensuring our practices align with industry standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of legal knowledge, leadership skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.

What you will be doing: Directly manage the Compliance Services Group team members, ensuring effective work distribution, resource planning, and team development.

Keep the Corporate Group informed of legislative changes affecting corporate compliance, ensuring all practices align with statutory requirements.

Maintain the integrity of client records, particularly within the Minute Box platform, ensuring accuracy.

Conduct performance evaluations for the Compliance Services Group team members, setting objectives, and identifying opportunities for growth.

Facilitate professional development for Corporate Clerks through lunch & learn workshops, and regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Promote standardized procedures and best practices for the Corporate Group, particularly with respect to compliance services and related issues.

Serve as a member of the Corporate Precedent Committee, assisting with the development and maintenance of legal precedents.

Lead and execute special projects aligned with firm-wide initiatives, aiming to improve operational efficiency and client service.

Qualifications: Law Clerk diploma from an accredited college or completion of the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario Certification.

Minimum of 5 years of management or leadership experience in a corporate services or legal compliance environment.

Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring and team development.

Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with all organizational levels.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.

Experienced in project management, with a track record of leading successful operational efficiency initiatives.

Comprehensive understanding of corporate law and compliance regulations.

Proficient in legal entity software, preferably Minute Box, and Microsoft Office Suite.
