Masonry Laborers (HOD Carrier)

Job Description

Salary: 16-18 DOE

Classification: Hod Carrier (Masonry Labor)

Requirements: Minimum of 2 years experience as masonry laborer

Must pass pre-employment drug test

Responsibilities:

Working year round at outdoor construction sites in New Mexico, southern Colorado or northeastern Arizona.

Lifting cement bags weighing 94 pounds per bag.

Stocking and lifting blocks weighing approximately 35 pounds to 55 pounds.

Pushing wheel barrow full of mortar.

Within an 8 hour day, required to lift approximately 9,000 pounds total.

Lift a minimum of 100 pounds at one time.

Work with and handle various substances which contain chemicals or produce dust.

Chemicals: Sure Clean (an acid cleaning compound used for cleaning bricks and blocks; epoxy and insulation that is poured or pumped into blocks; Portland cement and lime used for mortar compounds which produce dust particles; various petroleum products such as leaded and unleaded gasoline and propane.

Wearing of personal protective equipment is mandatory and is provided by the Company.

Set up scaffolding required

Able to work at tall heights
