Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Description

May Include:

Working with APIs and Embedded Software to help improve and debug software and hardware

Create custom loggers

Create test setups

Develop software for reports

Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.

Knowledge & Skills:

Excellent understanding of cloud application design processes.

Excellent understanding of RESTful APIs and interfacing with API endpoints

Proficient with databases and storage services

Proficient in Javascript and C++ concepts

Excellent grasp of fundamental computer science concepts, good at solving complex technical problems, and using common design patterns

Ability to meet short and long-term deadlines

Ability to meet the company’s high standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance

Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job

Experience:

10+ years working in the related field

5+ years working with setting up tools, required infrastructure, and selcting and deploying appropriate debugging tools

5 + years reviewing, verifying, and validating the software code developed in embedded and cloud connected product projects.

5 + years building software with evidence of adhering to industry standard security principles

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar areas of study from a US credited University

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations

Work from home environment with visits to the office when needed (if they work from home)

Prolonged periods of sitting and working from a computer

Travel requirement of up to 5%

Salary Range: $100,940.00 to $126, 690.00+
