Security Guard - Full Time Positions Available
Work Shifts Available: Mornings, Evenings and Overnights
Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Valid New York State Security Guard License
• As a condition of employment, applicants may be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants may be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
Responsibilities
• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter
• Monitor and control access at building entrances
• Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
• Report any suspicious persons, vehicles, packages and/or activities
• Immediate response and assist to emergencies and incidents in a calm, problem solving manner
• Provide necessary support and contact emergency services when necessary
• Write incident reports and log book entries
• Protect the client's and company's assets from theft, assault, fire or other safety issues
• Ability to work independently and with other team members
• Working environments and conditions may vary by client site
Skills
• Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
• Trained security officer with diploma
• Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
• Surveillance skills and detail orientation
• Integrity and professionalism
• Punctuality
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional Demeanor and Appearance
