Machine Operator Description. Four Day Work Week

Pro Pel Plastech is a post industrial plastic recycling company. We make scrap, waste and out of spec material usable again for the plastic industry. We run 2-shifts, 10hours/day, 4-days a week, Monday through Thursday. The position you are being considered for is a manufacturing job. Proper clothing and equipment is required. You must report to work with steel toed shoes or boots. We will supply hearing protection and eye protection where needed.

Tasks Include:

We operate a number of machines for material size reduction. Granulators ranging from 20 hp to 200hp. They are fed to efficiently process the material. On the 200hp granulator material feeds directly into the 8”diameter extruder. This machine operates best when fed at a steady pace. The 100hp Retech Shredder line feeds directly into a Getecha 100 hp Granulator by conveyors. Operators also run freestanding granulators.

Part of the process is also separating contamination and dissimilar material from the product stream.

Each machine has its own demands that will be learned and adjusted to. Paperwork to record what has been run will be completed.

All materials will be put into boxes (gaylords) but special care should be taken to package material that will go to our customers are not only strong enough but also presentable and labeled correctly. Boxes must also be put on good pallets of the correct size.

All operations will involve lifting, twisting up to 50lbs.

Forklift operation is also standard. All employees will be trained, tested and certified to operate forklifts.

Machines Run: Granulators, Extruders, underwater and strand pelletizers, Balers, Roll Splitters (guillotines), Band Saws, Densifiers and Forklifts.

Shift Hours: Monday through Thursday

1st 7:00am to 5:00pm

2nd 4:30pm to 2:30am ($1 more per hour shift differential)Company Description
