Job Summary:

The PB Outfitters Manager oversees the daily operations of the retail store, including managing inventory, store displays, establishing SOPs and procedures, as well as training, onboarding, and scheduling retail associates. The PB Outfitters Manager will partner with the Director of Retail to outline, enforce, and set strategies, programs, and systems focusing on continuous sales growth, guest loyalty, and retention.

The PB Outfitters Manager will order, re-order, and work with the Director of Retail and vendors to bring in new products for the store. The PB Outfitters Manager will warmly greet all visitors, offer direction, and will be knowledgeable of the store products offered; will actively maintain the image of the store by organizing and restocking as needed inside the store; will process transactions, as well as handle refunds and exchanges.

The PB Outfitters Manager is an ambassador of Palmetto Bluff and will be expected to be knowledgeable about all amenities and experiences available on the property.

Essential Job Functions:

Job duties include, although are not limited to:

Strong focus on creating a brand identity for PB Outfitters by establishing a distinct style of product offered to members and guests. Recommend new product introductions.

Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, orientating, and training employees.

Complete weekly schedule for retail attendants per policy and oversee payroll processing in a timely and accurate manner.

Direct and supervise retail staff to ensure all standards and objectives are met.

Provide training to retail employees to develop their skills and enhance their job performance to ensure superior guest service and experience.

Responsible for the proper maintenance of the retail store under control, ensuring that the stock, furniture, and fittings are in excellent condition.

Maintain retail displays, replenishing and rearranging stock as necessary.

Manage inventory control to include establishing pars and reorder SOPs, ordering, and receiving products (both physically as well as entering inventory software)

Process and record purchase orders per policy.

Focus on high turnover and minimize overstock of products to avoid markdowns at all times.

Process invoices for payment in an accurate and timely manner per policy

Conduct quarterly physical inventory, input totals, and reconcile variances to sales.

Partner with the Director of Retail in implementing budget plans for the store and developing merchandising/brand standards and guidelines.

Evaluate operational and financial records to determine the sales performance of the retail store.

Ensure that profitability goals are met by driving revenue and maintaining the budgeted cost of sales.

Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.

In concert with the Director of Retail and other outlet managers, assist as required in all retail outlets.

Greet all guests warmly upon arrival.

Aid guests in the retail shop, both by telephone and in person.

Actively sell merchandise to achieve daily sales goals.

Accurately process payments per established standards

Promote positive relations with guests and staff members.

Attend meetings and training sessions as required.

Ensure compliance with health/safety policies and procedures in retail outlets.

Promote a positive work environment in all areas.

Qualifications:

High school or equivalent education is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Two to three years of experience in retail management

Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Inventory Management software preferred.

Strong emphasis on customer service

Must possess a positive attitude.

Must be dependable and available to work on weekends, nights, and/or holidays based on business demands.

Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.

Able to lead and motivate people, excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, support departments, and members.

Professional and personable demeanor

Physical Demands:

Position requires walking and standing most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks. Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.

Valid driver’s license or reliable method of transportation to/from work

Sitting or standing for extended periods

Ability to carry up to 35 lbs.

Talking and listening occur continuously while communicating with guests, managers, and subordinates.

Vision occurs continuously, with the most common visual functions being near vision and depth perception.
