Job Description
Case management assistants are responsible for overseeing several clients at a time, ensuring information is accurate, preparing and maintaining case files, and keeping detailed records of available community resources.
Duties and Responsibilities
File• Verifying individuals' information
Ensuring referral information is accurate
Communicating with treatment or counseling programs
Interviewing new clients
Developing assistance plans in conjunction with case workers
Reviewing client progress
Evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans in conjunction with supervising case or social workers
Researching newly available treatment options
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or a related field a plus
Minimum one year experience with a managed care organization,
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required; Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office
General knowledge of employment laws and best practices
