We are offering a role in the non-profit industry located in New Orleans, Louisiana. The role focuses on the function of an Accounting Manager. This role offers a contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Leading the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, payroll.
• Handling the month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis.
• Preparing cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and managing daily cash.
• Driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection.
• Presenting monthly financial reports to the executive committee and partners.
• Assisting in the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitoring them on a monthly basis.
• Utilizing skills such as Account Reconciliation, Financial Statement Preparation, General Ledger, Month End Close, Microsoft Dynamics SL, Microsoft Excel in day-to-day tasks.• Must have knowledge and experience in financial statement preparation
• Proficiency in account reconciliation is required
• Ability to efficiently manage and maintain the general ledger
• Must be able to execute month end close procedures
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics SL is essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Prior experience in a non-profit accounting role is preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.
