School Registered Nurse (RN) - 1:1 Support Needed (Elementary School)

Provide Vital Care and Make a Difference in a Child's Life!

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential one-on-one care for a student in an elementary school setting.

About the Role:

In this role (20-30 hours per week), you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of a 9-year-old boy who requires prehensive medical support throughout the school day (9:15 am - 3:15 pm, Monday-Friday). This is a temporary position needed ASAP and lasting through the End of School Year (EOSY) with the strong possibility of renewal for the 2024-2025 school year.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to the student throughout the school day, including:

Wheelchair assistance

Seizure monitoring and intervention

Medication administration(as prescribed)

Toileting and changing

G-tube feeding

Tracheostomy care

Oral suctioningas needed

Collaborate with the student's medical team, teachers, and family to ensure a cohesive care plan

Document all care provided and maintain accurate medical records

Maintain a positive and supportive environment for the student

Qualifications:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where the school is located

Experience working with children in a school setting (preferred)

Pediatric nursing experience (highly preferred)

Familiarity with the care needs outlined above (wheelchair, seizures, g-tube, trach care, etc.)

Strong munication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
