● Excellent English-speaking ability to communicate with US manufacturing and development teams.

● Troubleshooting

Ability to identify issues with process/quality/design

Ability to perform root cause analysis to identify source of issue

Ability to develop solution proposal

■ Ability to design DOEs (understand variables, controls, and efficiently use resources)

■ Ability to analyze data, extract conclusions, and determine next steps Ability to drive alignment with Wing internal (process, quality, test, mechanical, electrical, reliability, program, and CM teams

● SOP update/review

Draft WI (work instruction) proposals

Understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts

Ability to learn aero concepts

Aptitude for hands-on prototyping and analysis (to assess form/fit/function)

● Fixture Development

Understanding of assembly line, CT (cycle time), yield, and quality concepts

Ability to design assembly line layouts

■ Understanding of material flow, line balancing, and throughput concepts Ability to optimize workstation layouts

■ Fixture and tool design/selection

Solid understanding of datums and fixturing concepts

■ Ability to understand degrees of freedom

■ Ability to understand under- and over-constrained assembly

■ Ability to select optimum materials and equipment

● Experience with automation (preferred skill set)

Ability to review technical CM process proposals (assembly and inspection) for completeness

Ability to preemptively identify issues that might affect product performance, quality, or safety Ability to identify the need for cross-functional review, and drive alignment

● Ability to manage CM (contract manufacturer) resources by interfacing with their project management and technical teams, to execute NPI and sustaining activities. Must be able to influence CM management teams to accomplish requests.

● Organizational skills to track requests, schedule, and prioritize workload for self and contract manufacturers.

● Ability to identify and communicate risks (assembly, quality, material, etc) to proper management and cross-functional teams on a continuous basis.

Experience or Desired Items:

● Ability to travel 20-30% to vendors in Asia for audit and process development

● 10+ years’ experience working with high-volume manufacturing

● High attention to detail

● Comfortable working in fast-paced environment

● Technical understanding of the following manufacturing methods and processes:

Soldering (evaluation methods to qualify process)

Conformal coating (masking and rework procedures)

Injection molding (tooling structure and DFM)

Adhesive activation (liquid, film/tape, uv cure)

SMT/Reflow (board washing/cleaning)

Inspection (AOI, CMM)

Instron Testing (tensile, peel, 3 point bend, 4 point bend)

Bond strength testing (dyne, water contact angle, peel)
