Meet the team:
Dexcom’s business is experiencing solid global growth and because of this. The Global Direct Material Procurement function is expanding the Procurement team at Dexcom Global Business Services who will be hiring Direct Material Sourcing Specialists.
The Sourcing Specialists will be supporting the needs of Dexcom US Corporate business with the guidance of Direct Material Strategic Sourcing function, and under direct supervision of Dexcom Philippines management. Sourcing Specialists will work with the Direct Material Strategic Sourcing team in the US to and is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, contract manufacturing and managing the purchase of direct materials, such as electronics, PCBA, plastics, injection molding, chemicals and packaging. Responsible for ensuring that all the business spending occurs in line with the Procurement Policy. The successful candidate is expected to adapt to change and work efficiently.
Where you come in:
• Support the strategic sourcing management team with the Procurement organization’s goals
• Administer RFX process, manage the development of NDAs, set RFP event in the systems, facilitate Q&A with participants (such as timeline), monitor sourcing event, analyze and provide input during the selection process
• Support supplier selection and contract negotiation process
• Conduct data and spend analysis using purchasing analytics tools and advanced Excel skills (ex., Nested formulas, charts, merging and parsing data, etc.)
• Collaborate with Operations and other functional areas to collect operational needs and specifications
• Liaise with Strategic Sourcing team on category needs and with legal on contract processing
• Assist with procuring non-standard parts, supplier consolidation and rationalization
• May be assigned other projects and tasks by the strategic sourcing managers or the Procurement operations manager
• Monitor supplier performance (against contract) and manage supplier relationships

Qualifications and/or Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Industrial, Electrical Engineering but not required)
Minimum of 5 to 8 years of Procurement experience sourcing Direct Material categories such as electronics, PCBA, plastics, injection molding, chemicals and packaging or related experience.
Firsthand working knowledge of Procurement Strategic Sourcing methodology is essential.
Experience in using end-to-end Procurement systems (Coupa, Oracle is a plus).
Project management experience
Coachable and displays willingness to learn procurement skills and seek out feedback / assistance.
Can work independently and is self-directed.
Can work in a hybrid setup
Willing to travel (20-25%)
The following are the tasks expected from the successful candidate:
Forecast Management:
Review monthly forecasts for assigned items
Identify discrepancies in expected purchase volume
Update pricing outlook and item master as needed
Solicit updated quotes from suppliers when necessary
Communicate forecast and pricing changes to suppliers
Generate PPV outlook report and highlight changes
Review changes with Sourcing Manager for approval
Coordinate price changes with buyers to ensure accurate purchase orders
Revision Change Management:
Participate in COP (change order process)
Perform all assigned tasks in COP including impact assessment, supplier quoting, coordination of new revision implementation
Validate the cost of new revisions meets target price
Manage and minimize excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory
Coordinate rework with supplier quality and engineering
Coordinate shipment of material for rework and return to Dexcom
RFI/RFQ Event Coordination:
Initiate RFI/RFQ events in Coupa
Monitor and follow up to ensure suppliers respond
Review and consolidate quotes for team review
Lead review of pricing/information with core team
Coordinate presentations/recommendations with Sourcing Manager
Meeting Participation:
Attend staff meetings, department meetings/events, sourcing steerco, supplier QBR, quality reviews, etc.
Update legal Smartsheet as required
Quarterly Pricing Review Coordination:
Coordinate quarterly pricing review with CMs
Validate volumes & prices with CM purchased items
Manage ongoing change control and handle necessary quotes
Coordinate proof approval with cross-functional team
Ensure E&O is managed
Supplier Capacity and Technical Reviews:
Facilitate calls to increase capacity at supplier along with Dexcom engineer & supplier quality
Facilitate Supplier technical review with supplier and Dexcom supplier quality
Timeline Management and Follow-Up:
Execute items/deliverables to projected timeline
Follow up with Legal for Matters that do not change status in 2 weeks
Data Entry:
Enter standard cost per negotiated price list.
