Special Assets Manager

Banesco USA is seeking a Special Assets Manager for our Credit Administration Department.

Primary Job Duties:

Preparation of monthly reports for the Board of Directors and Executive Management, specifically, Watch List, Watch List Status Report, OREO Report, Charge-Off/Recovery Report, Carry Value Reg 655.044 Report, Progress Report, Property Visits Reports, etc.

Quarterly preparation of ACR’s due on the following dates 3/15, 6/15, 9/15 and 12/15.

Manage assigned Criticized/Classified Loan Portfolio and acts as back-up on similar portfolio assigned to Special Asset Manager.

Manage loans in litigation and works closely with assigned attorneys to ensure a prompt and economical resolution for the Bank.

Manage the OREO’s ensuring the assets are secured and actively marketed. In addition, responsible for the maintenance of the properties to ensure they are in compliance with City and County Codes violations, should they exist, responsible for promptly resolving them to avoid unnecessary fines and expenses.

Monitor real estate secured classified/criticized loans to ensure real estate taxes are kept current to avoid sale of tax certificates.

Responsible for accurate risk rating assignment through periodic review and recommend upgrades/downgrades accordingly.

Actively and profitably market problem loans, OREO’s, Loan Pools and Judgments.

Responsible to be in compliance with BSA, AML, CIP and OFAC. Periodically update BSA electronic files for portfolio.

Successfully complete all assigned training and courses.

Other duties as required/assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance or equivalent experience.

Experience: Minimum Five (5) years of experience in the Banking industry or related field.

Proficient and advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)

Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills.

Strong customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers.

Ability to be adaptable and flexible to change; comfortable with ambiguity when dealing with new tasks.

Strong interpersonal skills, working with integrity and ethically, upholding the organizational values.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills in order to find solutions for our customers.

Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently ensuring timely deliverables.

Ability to work independently and take initiative in daily tasks ensuring assignments are completed accurately and on time.

Advance knowledge of lending and compliance policies and regulations.
