Business Intelligence Analyst

:

The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing business data and generating valuable insights. This role acts as liaison between IT and all business unit, support the business in planning, business strategy, innovation, business analysis, process improvement and post implementation review.

What you’ll be doing::

Develop and manage business intelligence solutions.

Translate analytic insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for business or product improvement.

Support BI reporting in Power BI, SSRS and Excel.

Identify opportunities for process optimizations and data-driven decisions-making.

Develop Python, R predicting modeling projects.

Identify and develop needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the organization for efficiency and profitability.

Deliver meaningful business analytics to generate positive business impacts.

Create and maintain documentation that includes the design, requirement, and user manual.

Experience working with large data sets to solve problems.

Experience working with relation databases, including MS SQL, Oracle.

Extensive experience with data manipulation and data cleaning.

Working knowledge of visualization tools, including Power BI, Tableau... etc.

Familiarity with the fundamental principles of data modeling.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills.

Strong documentation skills.

Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.

Ability to present ideas in easily understood non-technical language.

Highly self-motivated and directed.

Keen to detail.

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business analytics, mathematics, statistics, physics, or other quantitative discipline data science, or equivalent experience.

Experience with data cleaning, preparation, and feature building.

Experience working with large data sets to solve problems.

Prior hands-on experience with Python, Java or Scala and the ability to write reusable and efficient code to automate machine learning pipeline and data processes.

Possess solid writing, data visualization and communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while working independently and in teams.

Comfortably using SQL to manipulate data.

Intermedium skill level in Power BI, DAX and Power Query.

A solid understanding of data source, data organization and storage.

Knowledge of relevant relational database.

3+ year experience with statistical programming languages (for example, SAS, R) and/or with SQL and relational databases (for example, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server).

Retail or Cruise industry experience is a plus.
