Appointments are available part-time faculty in Miami Regional University’s Master of Business Administration program within its School of Business. Instructors will provide classroom instruction in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of the University and be positive professional role models for students, other faculty, and staff in the areas of customer service, respect, and excellence. Seeking experienced faculty who have good communication skills, demonstrated commitment to excellence in both teaching and research, and a desire to work collaboratively with colleagues. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a sensitivity to the needs of students, faculty and staff from multicultural backgrounds and demonstrate a commitment to our comprehensive learning institution.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Teaching

Engage in best practices in pedagogy by following the MBA curriculum and syllabi to ensure students engage and achieve the learning outcomes for each class

Proactively approach dealing with students who require attention regarding progress or remediation and refer to Academic Affairs in a timely manner with required documentation.

Contribute to departmental assessment efforts including monitoring student learning outcomes and maintaining program effectiveness

Maintain orderly learning environments to support student access and achievement of learning objectives

Research

Continuously improve teaching effectiveness by maintaining a personal program of scholarly work, research, and continued education courses

Service

Support the School’s focus on retention and overall student satisfaction.

Ensure all required administrative and academic records are maintained up-to-date and submitted on time, to include attendance, advisory forms, exams, etc.

Actively participate in faculty meetings, committees, accreditation process as requested.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience in teaching information Technology courses as applied in business

18 semester credits Graduate hours in Information Technology Management.

Candidates should have completed their Ph.D. or D.B.A. degree from an accredited University recognized by the US DOE.

Minimum (1) year teaching experience in the subject area in a post-secondary institution.

Four years (4) practical work experience in business.

Online teaching experience preferred.

Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software (Microsoft Office Suite, CampusVue, JupiterGrades (a plus) Multi-lingual preferred (Spanish) Salary commensurate to experience and qualifications.
